Indian Coins and Notes
The type of money used in a particular country is called
its currency. In India, currency is found in the form of Different countries have

Expressing Money
Money is expressed in rupees and paise. We put a dot to separate rupees and paise.
For example, 25 rupees 75 paise is expressed in figures as `25.75.

Paise are always written
as 2-digit numbers.
For example, 8 p = `0.08

Example 1. Write 30 rupees and 5 paise in figures.
Solution. 30 rupees and 5 paise can be written as `30.05.
Example 2. Write the following amounts in words.
